Planting a Seed
Rafael had Earth Day homework: Make a poster listing ways we can save the Earth.
So, she made this. She told me that only 2 kids did the posters. Out of 20. As a past professor, I would like to give these parents a verbal reality check. Just what work ethic are they instilling in their kids if they take the stance of “It’s just Kindergarten, it doesn’t matter.”
Actually, it does. And I would love to let them travel back in time to my class of freshman junior college students, the majority of whom were barely accepted because in high school they “just didn’t do the work”.
But Rafael and the other boy earned 20 School tickets each for being the only ones who did it.
The teacher must think it matters too.
