Geek Love

I have a confession: The one thing I love more than weather is a weatherman who is completely geeked out over weather. 

I think my obsession began in Chicago where weather makes you its bitch. But when I moved to LA, where the weather is monotonous, I still watched Tom Skilling, lovingly, like he was Dirk Diggler. 

 Isn’t he dreamy??

But here, in NC there are weather geeks, not just tv figure heads. they are smart, confident, and have all the gadgets. That really melts my butter. One looks like Ichabod Crane, another like Stuart from MadTV…I’m. in. heaven. 

I saw Greg Fishel at the Durham Bulls game and it was a bigger moment for me than seeing Paul McCartney at Ralphs in LA. 

I froze and Hubby made fun of me: “Just go over there. He’s a weather-man.” 

Me: “Exactly.”
