An old makeup artist trick: Wet N Wild lip liner in 666, Brandywine. it is 99 cents and stays on forever. it looks great under almost any lipstick color. when i dress like an adult i typically wear this plus Bert’s Bees shiney lip smacker. for some reason, my local Walgreens, et al either don’t carry or never have in stock.  i found it at 5 Below while stocking hunting this week.  since Hubby is gone and the girls are now on track out ‘til Dec 3rd, i have to be strategic about my xmas shopping.  other 5 Below Bargins: DVD Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, DVD Orig. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wall-E and Disney Fairies Leapster games, Pet Shop and Barbie electric toothbrushes. all under 5. Santa is happy.

Rafael’s Runway Today was CD’s Preschool Graduation. (*sniff*) I’d like to thank a garage sale for Rafael’s awesome GAP skirt and a friend for giving me her daughter’s old, adorable, polka dot dress.  The only thing I turn down is my collar.

Free Garden Planner....or how I spent my Saturday morning

This thing is so fun and FREE! for 30 days but they DON’T ask for a credit card. So it really is FREE! 

You enter your zone, enter the measurements of your garden (raised bed or plot) and then select/plan your garden. It tells you how many plants will fit and shades the area around it to indicate how much room it will take up. 

They have a wonderful plan that also prints out that tells you when to sow (indoors or out) and takes you through harvest. 

Anyway, for those gardeners, enjoy!

Rafael’s Runway….or Goodwill/Garage Sale Grab

My luck has been sick lately. Found a garage sale on Craigslist last minute which meant getting there by 630am on Sat. morning. Scored Limited Too, Old Navy, Gap, etc. for fall (some not shown) and was back by 7am when everyone else was still in bed. 

Goodwill spontaneous stop yesterday~ found these bohemian beauties for my Rafael. 2 bucks each for all that ~ Gap and sequins. F’ng sick steal. Sized big so she can have it for later in the year.

Today, my little surfer gal is wearing yesterday’s reversible dress score. That makes two dresses for 1/10th of the cost of one on a good sale day.

Groupon Grab or getting to the root of my problem See these bad boys? They have been hiding for a couple months under various baseball caps.  Enter the Groupon. 35 bucks for single processed color, cut, blow out.  “Hi, I’m calling about your Groupon today. Can I substitute partial highlights for single processed color for the same price?” “Um. Yeah. That’s all you want? A partial?” “That’s all I want.” “I guess. Uh, yeah. Sure.” Just passing this victory along in case any of you want to try haggling with a Groupon. For 35 bucks, I’d let a thumbless koala bear do it. But it turned out quite nice.
